An Art Journaling Practice

Art journaling is solace and reprieve. It is remembering and unearthing. It is reminder and strength building. Why I make art? To remember. To grow. To think. To ponder. To reflect. To meditate. To question. To pray. To get roots and grounded. Art journaling is a creative practice that allows me to be. Today’s art journal page reminds me of a bible verse that says,

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I’m holding onto these words and whispering them over my soul.

Live in purpose. Live in hope. Live in intention. Live in light. Live in truth. Things I remind myself. Live true in Christ. Remember Whose and who you are.

Before page. Outline found poetry and drafting an image.

After page. Coloring done. Words highlighted.

All finished. Nothing more to add. Isn’t that just like life? We have already all we need for living and life. God’s word is true. We are already equipped. Remember Whose and who you are. I remember, and I grow more into who I’m caked to be. This encourages me, and my hope is that it encourages you too.
