Do Not Be Afraid

I don’t know about you, but I hate bad news. Something about hits a nerve and challenges my faith, but  I’m learning to acknowledge the ups and downs of life and even its yuckiness. In those moments where life seems about to smack me down, I cry out to God. I tell Him of the hurt, disappointment, anguish, or whatever it is that is bothering me. I find great solace in being able to be real with God.

Sometimes things happen that freak us out or makes us fearful. In those moments, we can remember God is near. We may not “feel” Him there, but He is. His presence is with us.

Pour your heart out to God. He is listening. Give Him your pain, your tired, your hurt, your whatever-it-is that is keeping you down. Let Him enter the pain with you. He is rest, and grace, and much peace for you.

Trust and believe God for all you need. Even while the storm rages, hold faith and cling to God. He won’t let you go. Beloved, God won’t let you go. He IS a good, good Father. Trust and believe.
We can rest in this truth. We can rest in God’s presence. We can rest in the fact that He is watching over us – His children, precious in His sight.

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 34:1

Beloved, be real and honest with God. He desires you to know Him, and He wants to know you. Do not be afraid. The Lord is near.
