When Stability Is What You Seek {31 Days}

A rod of steel
A plumb line
A way to be steadied
In the storm.

What does steady look like when stability is what you seek?

no man an island marvia davidson

It is pressing in
Breaking through
Barriers fall down
When we choose to
Go through and
Not around the
Difficulty along our path.

Leaning in costs us
Losing fear, gaining trust
Dropping despair
Putting on resilience
The soul of us fighting
To bring about the beauty
Of the work of being unwavering.

It is a victory by way of constant overcoming. It is rising from the shadows and choosing to live fully. It is leaning into the collective strength of community when your knees become feeble and weak. Community steadies you, and often provides a safe place to land. When stability is what you seek, you find it linking arms and keeping the faith.

It is standing in the rain with buckets rather than umbrellas to catch the droplets of hope in the moment. It is standing your ground, holding faith, and seeing the mysterious beauty and grace in the uncommon hours.

A rod of holy steel
A plumb line weaving
Itself in the spirit
I am made steady and
Can embrace the storm.

lemonade stories my pic

This post is a part of my 31 Days of Writing challenge and the second half of the lemonade stories. There are more stories to tell and moments of when to live through.  It’s all about taking the sour things of life and reframing them to find the sweetness of faith, hope, and resilience. I hope you’ll join me on this month-long journey.  You’ll also find me sharing bits and pieces on myTwitter and IG accounts. I’d love to see you here, and you can also subscribe to my blog/newsletter here.
